10 years of New York Jedi!

Published on November 15th, 2015

Happy Birthday to Us! This Halloween we celebrated our 10th birthday and had our 10th annual performance in the NYC Greenwich Village Halloween Parade!

We as a group first performed and declared our existence on October 31, 2005 at the parade, started holding classes, and have been going strong ever since. We’ve performed in the parade every year there’s been a parade (every year except the year that Hurricane Sandy canceled).  We’re proud to celebrate the old and the new, having members in the parade who’ve been there since the beginning as well as members who were attending their first event with us!

Thanks to everyone who came out to make this the best parade yet, and to all the members who were there with us in spirit!

Thanks to everyone who’s been with us over the years, building this group towards what it is today!

Thanks to our fans who’ve cheered us on and made us strive to keep improving!

And thanks to all the creative minds behind the original Star Wars, who inspired us to pick up glowing sticks and write stories, to put on our tabards and obis, and find our community here with you all!

To 10 years going strong, with many thanks!! May the Force be With You, Always!!!
